Drawing this angle

At 247.5 degrees, the face is about to return to profile from the opposite side. Begin with the large side of the skull, using the ear to separate the rear mass from the narrow visible face. Check whether the nose, brow or cheek reaches the outer contour. Their visible fragments must agree with the direction of the head as a whole.

Measure the space above and behind the ear before working on the features. This prevents the face from taking up so much room that the skull loses its depth. Follow the jaw toward the chin, stopping where another form hides it. Use the line plate to sort those overlaps and the tonal plate to judge how the cheek turns away. Compare the drawing with 270 degrees and note which facial shapes will become fully visible next. A short exercise is to block both angles without eyes or lips, relying on the silhouette and ear position.
