The same four heads from the rotation study packs, rendered as matte clay under ten named light directions at every 22.5 degree turn. Keep one frame beside a drawing, compare shadow shapes across a sheet, or loop the turn while you study how the planes carry light.

How the files are organised

  • Each head has its own numbered folder with its frames, sheets, and loops.
  • The sheets come two ways: one light through all sixteen yaws, or one yaw under all ten lights.
  • Turning loops follow one light around the head; light sweep loops move the light across one pose.

What it is for

Keep one lighting condition open while you draw the head from several angles. Open a per-yaw sheet to compare how ten directions change the same view. Use a light sweep loop to study the shadow shape moving across one fixed pose.

Limits

The renders are colourless clay, so they show value and form but not skin tone. They are 1024 px screen-study files, not print-resolution files. The light turns with the head instead of staying fixed in a room. Each direction remains on the same side of the form through the turn.
